The Infomet Training Centre offers training to:

• Client participants within an Infomet project in order to transfer business and system knowledge to the business users regarding the implemented solution
• All Infomet consultants in order to maintain the high standards of consulting that are provided by the Consulting, Development, Product and Business Centres

The duration of the courses vary according to the subject although most courses run for 3 to 5 days.  Some business domain specific courses and mini-courses run for 1 to 2 days. Training programmes, which consist of a number of courses, provide a set of job or career specific skills and the courses can be taken over a period of time that is convenient for the student.

A focus is placed on personal trainer-student training in the comfortable environment of Infomet’s premises.  Extensive use is made of presentations accompanied by printed material providing the lesson plans, guidelines and reference material as needed. Trainers make extensive use of case studies in order to ensure that skills learned are applied practically within the training environment.

The Infomet Training Centre has state of the art facilities and specially designed desks in order to make the training experience pleasant and comfortable.  In order to stay in touch with the office, Internet kiosks are available and the entire training centre has wireless Internet access.

The Infomet Training Centre is located in the heart of Sandton with convenient access to shops, restaurants and hotels. Attendees needing accommodation have a wide choice of hotels and other facilities, all within a few minutes’ walk of the training centre.  In some cases training can also be done at clients’ premises.

Courses run continuously within the training centre and some capacity is retained in order to schedule courses that are in higher demand.  Most courses run for a complete working day, although some courses have been configured to run in the evenings or mornings.

In addition, administrative services are provided to plan and manage individuals or groups, record the courses attended, marks obtained, career paths etc. This ensures that both organizations and students are aware of their progress within the training programmes.
