PES: Platform Establishment System
This course covers the preparation of the physical environment for specified systems. There are three main scenarios which are dealt with:
  • where there is no operating environment in place.
  • where an adequate operating environment exists, within which the system is to be implemented.
  • where an operating environment exists, but needs to be expanded and enhanced to facilitate the implementation of an system at an acceptable level of performance.

The course provides the techniques that are needed to map logical specifications into the physical environment. Techniques for determining suitable hardware and software components, package evaluation (a unique approach invented by Infomet) and performance prediction are also covered. It is tailored to specific client needs and is scheduled as requested.
