DBD: Database Developer for Oracle/ MSSQL / DB2
These are 3 separate courses for each of the databases aimed to teach the student how to properly write Database Applications and Database Related Logic using the appropriate SQL Procedural Language as well as API and Component based Database Access. It assumes fluency as a programmer in at least one major programming language.
The course will teach the attendee:
  • How to install and create a Database
  • The full SQL Data Definition Language
  • The full DML Data Definition Language
  • How to write using all Database constructs:
    • Stored Procedures
    • Triggers, etc
  • How to access the DBMS functionality through API’s as well as appropriate Database Components
  • How to structure the code in the database
  • How to read pseudo code and to program properly from it
  • How to code for performance of the Database and how to optimize it for different environments
  • How to manage the code, the backups and versioning thereof
